Easy Valentine’s Day Heart Rice Krispy Treats

These treats would be so fun to make with your kiddos! Invite a few of their friends over and have a party decorating these easy heart rice krispy treats!

Treat Ingredients & Supplies

  • Butter
  • Rice Krispies
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Heart Cookie Cutter
  • Candy Melts
  • Sprinkles

Valentine’s Day Heart Instructions

Step 1- Making Your Rice Krispies

  1. Melt 3 Tablespoons of butter in a large pot over low heat
  2. Add 5 1/2 cups of Mini Marshmallows & stir until completely melted- Remove from heat
  3. Add 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal & stir until well coated
  4. Transfer Rice Krispies into a 13x9x2 inch pan that’s been coated with cooking spray or butter & evenly press mixture into the pan
  5. Let cool
  6. Once cool, use your heart cookie cutter and cut out your rice krispy hearts

Step 2- Decorating Your Hearts

  1. Add 1-2 inches of water into a pot and let simmer- Remove from heat once simmered
  2. Add candy melts into a larger bowl that will be able to hover above your pot of simmered water
  3. Continuously stir your candy melts so they don’t burn or get too much heat
  4. Once melted, take your hearts and dip them into your melted candy
  5. Place hearts on a cooling rack and add sprinkles
  6. Let completely cool so the candy hardens
  7. Enjoy!!!
